The Side Bar is one of those places you go with friends when you want to go out for dinner and drink, but don't feel like getting really dressed up. Side Bar is a nice place, the atmosphere is just more laid back than you might find at other places on the Wash Ave. strip. I have grabbed dinner there on several occasions, but was never super impressed by their food. While it isn't bad, nothing stood out to me and I would not recommend it as a dinner destination. The drinks, on the other hand, are a different story. The Side Bar makes their own flavored vodkas, which are very good. I have tried the watermelon, pepper, and my favorite, pineapple varieties. These concoctions are best served on the rocks or with soda as not to alter the flavor. The flavors rotate regularly and make great hot summer night drinks.
